Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention is a three-day conference filled with events that energize, educate and recognize members, advisors and alumni. Convention attendees benefit from access to globally-recognized speakers, workshops and the exchange of ideas among thousands of members from a diverse mix of community colleges. Chapters elect future Society leaders and receive recognition for their outstanding accomplishments. The Marketplace is a hub of activity throughout the Convention. Attendees visiting the Marketplace will find the Recognitions Sales Booth, Chapter Sales Booths, International Officer Candidate Booths, the Senior College Transfer Fair, entertainment and exciting daily give-a-ways.

The Phi Theta Kappa Marketplace offers a unique fundraising opportunity for chapters, regions and alumni groups. Groups who are pre-registered and pre-approved can sell Society-related items to their fellow Convention participants. Items often include visors, t-shirts, buttons and collectibles. At the 2009 Convention, the Hites Family Community College Scholarship Foundation offered a second challenge to the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation – if we can again raise $350,000, the Hites Foundation will provide an additional $650,000 towards the recently established $1 million Hites Transfer Scholarship Endowment for Phi Theta Kappa members.
The second challenge is again being offered in conjunction with the founding of the 1918 Anniversary Club, a way of recognizing those who contribute by celebrating our anniversary year. Convention contributions will be directed to the Hites Challenge and matched …

Each year, a Phi Theta Kappa All-Florida Academic Team is named to recognize outstanding students in The Florida College System. This distinction is given to honor the students’ academic achievement, leadership and service to the community.
